New family. New home. Too bad the family dog can't appreciate the moment of
moving into the house as he decides to mark it, in a manner unique to the canine
family. "Sometimes I wish we could turn into a new family," cries out
a frustrated Annie. "Perfection. Isn't it something we yearn for? She's
about to learn that perfection comes with a terrible price. A fair price, in the
Twilight Zone."
"That's not my dog." The dog has changed, she checks family pictures
and the dog doesn't match her memories. Philip, he husband reassures her that
they've always had the same canine pet. Later, she denies that her children are
not her children. Annie then loses her husband Philip too as they all change,
into the perfect family. She can't tolerate these people and they do not
understand as they are what she has always wanted. "Annie finds out the
hard way that the grass is always greener on the other side and that you
shouldn't trample on your own grass. A lesson of perfection in the Twilight
Zone." Roger's rating: C
