Star Trek: Enterprise

Storm Front, Part I

The Temporal Cold War ends and it leaves too many questions wide open. Should I even waste time and review this episode? Yeah, I will simply because my days of reviewing Enterprise are coming to an end. I realize that other people want to do this more than I and I want to do other things. This is besides the point.

The teaser worked as it always does, we are reminded of what happened last time and we are immediately brought up to speed and then we get a neat, 1940's news report in English, about Hitler's triumphant victory tour in New York City and a cool cheap shot about lecturing the city's leaders for about four hours.

Vosk tries to make a deal with Archer and he actually figures Archer will deal with him, but his arrogance does him in and while he proves to be a risk-taker, Archer is able to do the right thing and restore the temporal war timeline back to where it began or where it would end? Or not happen at all? So it would seem? Just too many questions remain. Just too many and I won't even begin to waste time on them. The partisans or insurgents just weren't very well believable and it just felt like the story was moving forward to get where it had to get. I just don't understand how the insurgents were always better shots than the German shock troopers. I have no love for the Nazis, but if they were able to invade America, you gonna tell me that they can't shoot worth a damn?

What exactly was re-set? This re-set button just didn't work. I suppose that it ended badly so does it really matter that we should have questions? Am I supposed to care? I don't. I suppose that this episode needed to happen, only so that we could get to the final year of Enterprise. I hope not. As of today and last week, I wonder if Enterprise will make it past episode 13 of this year?
