'Rosemary's Baby' miniseries set

LOS ANGELES, -- ABC will adapt Ira Levin's horror classic
"Rosemary's Baby" as a four-hour miniseries in 2005, Daily
Variety said Wednesday. The paper said the network has
reached a deal that will allow it to use both the original
book and its sequel, "Son of Rosemary," in which the child
born in the 1967 novel has grown up just as the millennium
approaches. The new miniseries will be produced by Barbara
Lieberman, who produced the 2002 TV movie, "Gleason," based
on the life of entertainer Jackie Gleason. "Rosemary's Baby"
was made into a classic feature film in 1968, directed by
Roman Polanski and starring Mia Farrow and John Cassavetes.
"This is the seminal psychological horror film of all time,
and I think it will make a huge television event," Lieberman
said. "The title is familiar to younger audiences, but they
haven't necessarily seen (it)."

might have been different if she had made other choices. The
film will be directed by Mike Nichols, who also helmed
