Episode 1.7 … LONELY GRAVES
By Bam
The show begins in the transwarp conduit/wormhole to
planet M106.
We meet up with our favorite underachieving hero, Lt.
Bruce Andrade, as he drinks himself into a sullen stupor. Taking a cue
from Luke Skywalker he whines about how Captain Sito thinks so little of
him. Oh how that will change.
The speeding ship hits some debris in the warp
conduit. The Enterprise stops to find out what exactly it could be. It was
interesting to find out that the debris is the burnt remains of a ship,
the Enterprise.
After a little debate the captain decides to send an
away team to find out what happened to the other enterprise. The challenge
goes to Salea, Rikilis and Andrade to rig an energy source and hack into
the wreckage’s computer.
They find dead bodies strewn all over the floor. I
thought it was very imaginative to have Rikilis freak out while looking at
a duplicate’s dead body. They
make it to the main computer but they can’t activate it because the
ship’s reactor core is slowly going to critical mass sucking in all the
energy.
They do run into the only survivor from the ship a
duplicate Salea. After the obligatory sick bay freak out scene, the crew
gets answers. The second Salea reveals that she is from a month in the
future.
She recalls that the transwarp wormhole has major
stability problems. She states that her enterprise tried to exit out of
the starting gateway. The
wreckage point was where they got before the ship absorbed too many
ambient fake-ass (ok, theoretical) antimatter molecules.
Their plan revolves around assembling another
bullshit molecule out of the bullshit particles that the new deflector
shield uses to get out of the wormhole.
Will they get out ok? What about the future Salea?
Will there be more bullshit particles?
Kick-ass
meter 8.7 …… (What can I
say? I like bullshit molecules.)
